Because I cannot do any imaging from my backyard (well I do not even own a backyard and I live in one of the most light polluted skies anyways) I needed a decent transport case to feet the G11. The case I bought is a Pelican 1630. It’s pretty large, actually it is large enough to fit both the mount head and the HD tripod pier (on which the legs bolt onto).

The nice thing about Pelican Cases is that you can customize the inside for a perfect match with your equipment. With a little bit of practice and patience, it works just fine.
